Narrated Abu Sa'id Al-Khudri (r.A): Allah's Messenger (p.b.u.h) said, ''If a person embraces Islam sincerly, then Allah shall forgive all his past sins, and after that starts the settlement of accounts: the reward of his good deeds will be ten times to seven hundred times for each good deed, and an evil deed will be recorded as it is unless Allah forgives it.'' (Sahih Al Bukhari)

The translation is by Dr. Muhammad Muhsin Khan and Dr, Muhammad Taqi-Ud-Din Al-Hilali taken from Darrusalam's Interpretation of the Meanings of the Noble Quran in the English Language.

Performing the Haj is the fifth pillar of Islam and is compulsory to every adult Muslim, once in their lifetime provided that they are able to afford it. This was highlighted during the Fiqh Al Hajj Islamic Strengthening Course for Division Four and Five government officers as well as for women's associations ta'lim council, individuals and new converts who were bestowed the fare to perform the Haj this year. The six day course focuses on the blessings and benefits received from performing the haj and umrah.
88 government officers, 27 participants from women's associations and individuals as well as 13 new converts attended the course. The Haj is an assembly of muslims and shows that the Islamic religion stands on unity and love among muslims. The haj and umrah is a symbol of equality among muslims that is, there is no differences between the rich and the poor. It all comes down to one purpose which is the desire to be closer to Allah the Al-Mighty and receiving Allah's blessings. The course organized annually by the Course Unit, Dakwah Propagation Division, is aimed to provide proper understanding on the Haj and Umrah in order for the religious practice to be performed perfectly.
